Embedded within MC/PLUS Rx are multiple interfaces that will allow integration with various hospital-wide and departmental systems. Interfacing permits the medication profile information to be readily available in other departments within the hospital's network. Automated dispensing and packaging systems merge well with the MC/PLUS system. Billing interfaces lessen the workload of the accounting department, and interfacing with drug wholesalers reduces the cost associated with the workload of maintaining up-to-date pricing for medications. Also available are ODBC interfaces which allow connection to various office productivity tools.
