An integrated outpatient, prescription processing module is available as a part of the MC/PLUS-Rx Pharmacy System. This application provides for efficient order entry and profile management for both outpatient and employee prescriptions. Additional features allow creation of discharge prescriptions and visit prescriptions. The user-friendly module facilitates prescription processing for discharged patients or patients on a leave of absence from the facility. This is accomplished by high- lighting the inpatient medications on the patient's profile and processing them as outpatient orders.
